What is a ‘Sustainable Community’?
“A sustainable community uses its resources to meet current needs while ensuring that adequate resources are available for future generations. It seeks a better quality of life for all its residents while maintaining nature’s ability to function over time by minimizing waste, preventing pollution, promoting efficiency and developing local resources to revitalize the local economy.“

As youth are a vital part of a sustainable and vibrant community, Sustainable North Grenville is pleased to host the premier screening of the MyView Youth Film Festival. Local youth from Kemptville and surrounding areas, aged 12 to 18, have been busy creating films that highlight issues that impact their lives.
Films have been submitted into five categories: My Environment, My Health, My Community, My Culture and My Future. A panel of celebrity judges have nominated the top two films in each category.
The nominated films will be showcased at two public screenings where audience members will have a chance to vote for their favourite film. The premier screening will take place at The Branch Restaurant, located at 15 Clothier St in Kemptville, on Tuesday, May 21 at 7:00 p.m.
